I would like to think that I appreciate good design, regardless of whether it’s something that I would personally own or even like.  This “world links necklace would be one of those things.  This necklace isn’t something that I would buy or even wear but I think it’s a fantastic design and so incredibly clever 🙂  I totally appreciate that.

White Collar.  Another show that John and enjoy watching.  Yes, our DVR is usually at 65% capacity, if not more.  And honestly I don’t even think I’m ashamed of it.  Yes, I watch ton of TV and I’m fairly proud of it….

Anywho, White Collar is a show on USA with the main character name Neal Caffrey.   I’ve always LOVED spy-themed stories.  Read pretty much all of Robert Ludlum books.  But I think I generally speaking, I enjoy “smart” characters.  Smart thieves, smart spies, smart cons, smart villains, and etc.  In one of my favorite movies of all time, “The Usual Suspect” Kevin Spacey’s character is the epitome of an anti-hero.  I LOVE that.  I don’t care what side you’re on as long as you’re able to outsmart and outwit all the characters in the story.  Neal Cafferty is a bit like that.

But more importantly, can we take a moment to just focus on him for moment?  Seriously he is handsome enough for me to watch the show, even if the show was horrible, and his character was dumb as a nail.  However, to my benefit, the show is actually pretty decent.  A master criminal solves crimes.  Yes, it’s not a novel idea.  But the show definitely brings something “new” to the old idea and the acting is really pretty decent.  And once again, let’s focus on Mr. Neal Caffrey…

Okay, this is wrong and funny at the same time.  It’s too funny I have to share.  Gotta love MadTV.  And here’s another one that I thought was pretty hilarious and rather ironic from MadTV/Apple combo.

Another interesting article on NYTimes.  Recently saw the new Taco Bell Drive-Thru commercial and wondered about this topic.  Interesting article about this new “fad”.   Although the article clearly states all the reasons why this wasn’t a miracle weight-loss pill, I LOVE Mexican food so the Taco Bell fresco menu really appeals to me more than any other.  But then again, I don’t like the idea of having to drive to Taco Bell couple of times a week….. Hmmmmm… what does that say about how much effort I want to put into my weight-loss plan? : |

There were 2 articles about my fellow Koreans in NYTimes that I read this week.  They couldn’t be more different from one another.  One was about the Koreans totally ruling the world of texting and the other was about the rise in Koreans committing suicides.

so anybody watch the presidential address last night? i had no idea it was going to be on. but it was. and as a model citizen, i watched.

he addressed all the key points he wanted to achieve. all the standard stuff like universal healthcare, more jobs, tax breaks for all companies, pulling out troops, affordable and better  schooling, and greenness. hopefully, these are goals he and we’ll accomplish.

but aside from that, if you watched, did anyone notice it was literally like comedy hour? obama was cracking jokes left and right. my brother and i thought it was pretty funny. just the idea that usually these speeches are really serious but he’s loosening up. which is nice.

overall it was a great speech. a lot of stories of struggle and hope from the people, optimism in general, comedy, and also he made sure to stand his ground as well. maybe i’m naive, but it made me believe and have hope. so despite his sagging ratings, i’m behind him.

yeahhh. it literally is a bigger version of the iphone or ipod touch. from the getgo, i figured nobody would buy this except maybe if you travel a lot and want to watch videos or something. then i realized this doesn’t even support flash! i don’t know. i think it’s dumb. this is supposed to be like a computer … ? or that’s what people have been saying? but doesn’t even come close. and the name …. i don’t know. i guess it goes with the theme of adding “i” in front of a generic word. iphone, imac, etc.

definitely not worth it, but if you do buy it, let me know! i want to play. =)

Steve Jobs with the new “iPad”.  Literally looks like a bigger version of the iPhone.  Don’t understand why they couldn’t make something better?  As an Apple shareholder, I was clearly expecting something more….

Here are the specs according to NYTimes:

Half an inch thin. Weighs 1.5 pounds. 9.7-inch IPS display — super high quality, great angle of views, Mr. Jobs says.  Full capacitive multi-touch screen, same as the iPhone — “super responsive, super precise,” he says.  The iPad is powered by Apple’s own custom silicon, he says — a 1 GHz A4 chip,, 16 GB of memory, 32 or 64 Gigabytes of storage.  There’s Wi-Fi, 802.11n, and the latest Bluetooth. (Apparently no 3G wireless, notes my colleague John Markoff.) Accelerometer, compass, speaker, microphone.

Heard about a tour that focuses on LA Gangs on NPR this afternoon.  I know this is something that I personally wouldn’t want to do.  It made me wonder who would want to go on a tour like this.

Then I read the NY Times article.  And here’s the first paragraph:

“LOS ANGELES — The tour organizer received assurances, he says, from four gangs that they would not harass the bus when it passed through their turf. Paying customers must sign releases warning of potential danger. And after careful consideration, it was decided not to have residents shoot water guns at the bus and sell “I Got Shot in South Central” T-shirts.”

so where was this coke machine when i was in college? damn!

1. i don’t love soda. but i’d drink coke all day if it wasn’t so bad for me and so fizzy.

and when will something viral happen to meeeee.

Heard about this on Good Day New York.  After Charles Phillips, an executive at Oracle decided to mend things with his wife, Ms YaVaughnie decided that she wasn’t gonna away quietly.  It apparently cost this mistress $250k to put up all these billboards around the country.  Charles and YaVaughnie, “You are my soulmate forever!”  Clearly she’s bitter and the website she put up with all these pictures of them together is down due to the flood of visitors.  There are so many scumbags out there it makes me so sad.

Couple of weeks ago on the Big Bang Theory, Sheldon was strolling about with an actual green latern on the show.  Even though John didn’t say, I could tell he really wanted one.  But I found out just now, it’s like crazy expensive.  Sorry John, I guess I’m not getting this for you.

I am a HUGE J.Crew fan.  If I had the figure to look good in their clothes, I would totally be broke because I would spend all my money at that store.  So I guess I should be thankful that I am currently too big to look good in their clothes.  But as I am thinking about having kids, I am worried that I would go broke because I would spend all my money on buying kids clothes.  They have very clean, simple, classic and elegant clothes that I totally LOVE.  Sometimes when I see super cute kids clothes, I am soooo tempted to buy them.  I don’t have kids.  I don’t even have a baby.  I’m not even pregnant.  We’re not even planning on having kids.  Would that be weird if I started to collect cute kids’ clothes?

Okay I watch a lot of TV.  But Anthony Bourdain is one of my favorite shows in the universe.  Saw this clip on his recent visit to Panama and I am always fascinated by what he decides to put on his show.  I obviously had a lot more questions about cocaine after this clip than I ever did in my entire life.  Seriously, this would never happen on Food Network so I am super glad that he’s on the Travel Channel.  Anthony Bourdain – No Reservations is so much more than just a food show.

Rachel Yang, a chef from Seattle area was recently on the Iron Chef battling Iron Chef Garces.  She is the chef at Joule in Seattle and her Korean background has definitely influenced her cooking style.  I am always shocked to see how main-stream Korean food has become and it was good seeing a Korean chef being represented on the Iron Chef.

Okay, I’ve been dvring the Ellen show couple of weeks back.  I’ve forgotten how entertaining the show is and how hilarious she is.  So it’s been almost theraputic coming home and watching the Ellen D show and Martha Stewart show.  But this weekend, while I was catching up on this week’s shows, this Nick Pitera guy totally blew my mind away with his singing.  I had to re-watch the clip THREE times just to make sure he was really singing, then Youtubed him to see other awesome videos of him.  Nick Pitera is… wait for it…. AWESOME!

so a coworker forwarded me this link. one, i love jason mraz and have since high school. and i love this song as well. so this guy daiyel sings a lot of different parts and plays them together. acapella. sooo good.

so guess who was drunk at the people’s choice awards. personally, i didn’t watch it but it was all over the radio. every station was playing the clip and it was pretty hilarious. pretty much what i would’ve been if i was drunk on stage.

so i drive into work and don’t have an iphone/ipod adapter so i resort to listening to the radio which is fine. i feel like being up on current “hits” is always good too.

i forget which music morning show i was listening to but apparently some principal tried to get 4 students – boys – to give a blowjob. and i’m not sure if they made this up or if it’s true but apparently the line the principal used was ….

“if you don’t want a f … then take this d”

OOOHHHHH. hahaha it’s funny but really terrible.
