I’ve been a HUGE fan of FAGE yogurt for years now.  Then this morning I saw this commercial and was totally “wowed”.  Such an elegant and poignant way to fully capture my mind/heart!

While watching an episode of Parenthood, I came across this song called “make you feel my love” by Adele.  I’m sure it’s an old song and everybody knows about it but I discovered it for the first time today and have been listening to it for hours….

Cee Lo’s “Forget You” is one of my favorite songs of all times.  I actually prefer the explicit version of the song more. But last nite at the Grammy’s he came out on the stage in this ridiculous outfit and to top things off lovely Ms. Gwyneth Paltrow joined him in the song as well.  Such great performance….

What Can I say?  I really like the Black Eyed Peas.  There’s nothing like listening to bunch of their music to pump you up.  They are super great entertainers!

A friend sent me this video recently because he saw my posting about 500 days of summer on this blog some time ago.   And while watching this video funny thing occurred to me.  If I was a man, I would love to date someone like Zooey Deschanel.  She would be my soul mate.  Funny thing is, shouldn’t I have been thinking, “wow, that joseph gordon-levitt, sure is a cutie!”

Another great speech on Ted.

Recently saw this commercial and I was quite smitten by the overall look of the commercial.  Land Rover LR4 is a lovely car as well.

Jen S recently told me that one of our favorite KDrama “Boys before Flowers was on Hulu.  But recently I discovered that Hulu and bunch of other Korean dramas and movies.  I love when my western world collide with my motherland!  Thank you HULU!

I watched the movie Closer with great expectations.  Natalie Portman & Clive Owen(BMW films – Top 5 movie picks) in a same movie was enough for me to have these high hopes for this movie.  The movie was “eh” at best but I was able to walk away with music of Damien Rice, which I think just may be one of the greatest things in the world.  I love his music and adore his poetic and penetrating lyrics.   I have spent many hours walking and thinking listening to his songs in many different cities.  And I’m sure my head will once again be filled with his voice/music this autumn in NYC.

I could literally spend HOURS on TED.   Lanigan forwarded this to me and it is probably one of many many many reasons why I LOVE TED!

I was really excited to hear that Louis Ck was having his own TV show called “Louie.”  I thought he was hilarious ever since I saw this youtube clip of him on Conan.

I saw Kick Ass in Seattle while visiting my bff Gian at a theater where they served alcohol.  I think I would’ve enjoyed this movie even without the alcohol.  Yes, there was incredible amount of violence, and yes there was incredible amount of profanity, and yes, most of it was from actors who were just kids .  But it was one of the most entertaining movies that I’ve seen in a really long time.  Mindless, good action, good plot,  and good dialogue.  It was  satisfying in so many ways.  John and I watched it recently and I was glad I made the time to watch it again.

Another cool find on Brooke Fraser’s blog : Solidarités International: Water talks

Recently saw this on Brooke Fraser’s blog and thought it was just amazing.

so i know this song is overplayed … been overplayed for some time now. what song am i talking about? home by edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros. but a friend of mine just kind of mentioned it in an email chain and now i can’t stop listening to it … again.

such a good song. no, a great song. reminds me of the bf. megg farrell’s whiskey social covering home … (shitty iphone quality .. it’s all i had)

Not only because I wear glasses, but as someone who appreciates cool and creative things in general, this is an awesome video.  LOVE it!

i love pugs. although a pug singing batman might get old and annoying at some point. but it’s cute the first time around.

I’m not sure how this slip my radar.  But yes, there will be an actual theatrical release of a movie based on the Facebook story this October. | continue reading |

I can’t say enough positive things about Nike.  It’s one of my favorite brands and you may already know, I am extremely loyal to the brands that I like.   And today while going thru a potential company I may be working for, I came across another Nike commercial that I just thought was phenomenal….

At the memorial service for Dan Cho this past Friday, I found out just how talent he really was and how much impact he had on the people around him. | continue reading |

This is the third time that this song has managed to bring me a profound and impacting message into my life in the past 9 months. | continue reading |

Alrite, it’s been a little more than forever and a half since my last posting.  Funny thing.  I thought I would be more diligent about updating the blog when I had more time on my hand but it’s been more challenging to do so.  But this is a good way for me to make a come back to the blogosphere.

PHOENIX!!!!!!! Okay, Claudia introduced me to them some time ago.  I think there was a point in my life when I thought she would pack up her bags and follow them around the world and possibly even marry someone from the group.   But she’s older and wiser now and living in LA, doing the LA thing.

Anywho, I’ve been listening to them non-stop for past couple of days.   Incredibly awesome music and I have to admit I don’t always know what they are saying, but it’s the type of music that I could listen to for hours at a time and even have one song on repeat for hours at a time.

Here are some songs that I found on YT.  You may recognize some of the songs from the recent Cadillac commercials.

Last nite’s Glee episode was one of my favorite so far.  John was getting annoyed at the fact that I was singing along with all the Madonna songs.  It was a perfect combination of my favorite TV show with Madonna.  I don’t really need to elaborate right? 🙂  But just in case you actually need some convincing, here’s a video of Sue Sylvester as Madonna  in the iconic Vogue music video.  And here’s a TVguide cover of the cast paying homage to Madonna.

I don’t know if I’ll ever get sick of this song.  Just saw this on Today Show and Good Day New York.  Funny thing is, Greg and Rosanna commented “awww, look the kid is crying because he doesn’t want to hear this song anymore….. I don’t know why this video is viral.”  I couldn’t believe they completely missed the joke!

When I found out I was going to be “transitioned” out of my current position, after couple of days crying, I had sent out an email to friends and family about my situation.  Then someone forwarded me this site called Lemonade the movieIt really gave me the courage and hope that I really needed at the time.  I’m sure it was a way for God to reassure me that things were gonna be okay and that this was happening for a reason beyond my limited understanding.  I’ve been going thru a bit of an emotional and spiritual discovery in the past couple of weeks.  When I have some more time to spare, which I will in couple of weeks, I’ll definitely post more things about my process and progress.

this song’s definitely growing on me. i went from kinda liking it to i like it a lot. the video’s pretty dope. visually, it’s really stimulating. reminds me of that video from m.i.a, but whatev. it’s still good.

this song’s been blowing on the radio. it’s pretty damn good song. it’s one of those songs that gets me real amped.  definitely cinematic and lots of gaga-ish style in there. it’s just one long and entertaining video. and tyrese makes a cameo. delicious

John and I have been watching a lot of Olympics.  But since we don’t want to be blind sided by spoilers on the web and on the news, we’ve been watching most of it live.  This means, no skipping thru the commercials like we usually do.  But time to time, that’s not such a bad thing.  Serendipitously I came across this commercial that wove images which provoked raw human emotions together with artistic execution that was flawless.  Nike… did it again!

Okay, this is wrong and funny at the same time.  It’s too funny I have to share.  Gotta love MadTV.  And here’s another one that I thought was pretty hilarious and rather ironic from MadTV/Apple combo.

so where was this coke machine when i was in college? damn!

1. i don’t love soda. but i’d drink coke all day if it wasn’t so bad for me and so fizzy.

2. I LOVE FREE THINGS.

and when will something viral happen to meeeee.

Okay, I’ve been dvring the Ellen show couple of weeks back.  I’ve forgotten how entertaining the show is and how hilarious she is.  So it’s been almost theraputic coming home and watching the Ellen D show and Martha Stewart show.  But this weekend, while I was catching up on this week’s shows, this Nick Pitera guy totally blew my mind away with his singing.  I had to re-watch the clip THREE times just to make sure he was really singing, then Youtubed him to see other awesome videos of him.  Nick Pitera is… wait for it…. AWESOME!

so a coworker forwarded me this link. one, i love jason mraz and have since high school. and i love this song as well. so this guy daiyel sings a lot of different parts and plays them together. acapella. sooo good.

I don’t usually watch ABC World News Tonight or any of the nightly news shows since I am still at work.  However, last nite, serendipitously, I was home AND was watching the show.  It turns out, it was Charles Gibson’s last show and he was signing off for the last time.  I hate good-byes and I hate emotional good-byes even more.  But it was so genuine, sincere and touching so I wanted to share.

Saw this the other day.  Wondering if I will see something like this in the real world in my life time….

happy hanukkah or chanukah.

it’s been A LOOOONG time. super busy with life in general. i was listening to this song this morning. first, it should be no surprise that i love mariah carey. i’m a korean girl born in the latter half the of the 80s. so my childhood was spent listening to mariah carey. one of my favorite mariah carey songs is fantasy featuring ol’ dirty bastard (wuuuu-tang). one of my favorite parts of the songs is definitely the intro by odb. something about this song gets me really pumped.

Yes, I’m the crazy cat lady with 4 cats at home.  But videos like this should make everyone a cat lover.  This is kind of neat since I’ve taught Snickers to give me “high-five” over the weekend.  This kitten is so cute and this trick is just hilarious!  I have NO clue why my friend forwarded me this video…. No clue….

I was in the mood to listen to some Kanye West then came across these videos.

UntitledSimon Rex in Rex in LA…when you have thirty minutes

Saw this on the news the other morning.  Still trying to figure out if it’s real or not.

i’ll be leaving work a little early tonight .. what to do ………

I think even if you don’t like cats, you would find this kind of cute.  A cat, dressed up in different costumes, and entire video is in Japanese….  You gotta love it.

has anyone seen the starburst commercial with the scottish koreans? haha. i don’t know if it’s old or not but i saw it for the first time yesterday with alex. it’s really funny ..

aside from the fact that it’s referencing koreans (or scottish koreans), the whole commercial is hilarious from the accent, the theme, etc. etc. i recommend you watch it. even better, watch it with alex because the way he quotes it and laughs makes you laugh too.

a contradiction eating another..

my friend ed sent this video link. it’s pretty much one of the best music video’s i’ve seen in a long time. it’s the sour’s “hibi no neiro”. check it out.

NOOOOTTTT. somebody was telling me about this. in a recent interview, obama was seen swatting a fly to its death. it’s really impressive actually. the focus. precision. strength. all there.

and of course peta has issues.

if anyone’s seen old school, you know about total eclipse of the heart even if you weren’t born in that decade. in case you forgot …

well i’ve never seen the real official video. until now. sort of. it’s not the real song. but a parody ..

HAHAHA. ok. this is just funny. poison frontman and star of vh1’s rock of love, bret michaels was literally knocked down by a set piece while performing at the 2009 tony awards on sunday. the way he falls is really funny.

i can’t even say anything. just watch the evolution of a dance party. how it goes from one weird guy dancing to literally the greatest dance party ever.

I’ve never listened to Jonas Brothers before.  I don’t even know what they sing.  But after seeing Joe Jonas dressed up in tights, singing “single ladies”, I may actually check them out.  But I wish he could’ve at least learned some of the words to the song.

first of all. i had no idea the tonight show starts at 11:35pm. which means the late night show starts at 12:35am. wtf. i can’t believe i watch tv that late.

i started off watching the colbert report for a couple of minutes. hilarious. for those of you who watch the colbert report, you guys know that colbert report goes on at 11:30pm.
Vodpod videos no longer available.

i actually watched the whole episode online and it was awesome. i recommend checking it out at colbertnation.com.

back to the tonight show with conan. i watched it with alex last night because he’s got the HD and the 90375928353inch screen. ….oh. and i enjoy his company. …. … .. …… but anyway. the lineup included will ferrell and pearl jam. will ferrell’s always a great guest. super funny. but pearl jam. i don’t know. i thought that was weird. i don’t listen to pearl jam; so for me, it wasn’t so exciting. oh well.

i (well, this was more alex’s concern but i’m stealing it. i’ll include a works cited below) was worried that conan might switch up his comedy because now he was on the tonight show. but thankfully, that wasn’t the case. it was still the goofy awkward comedy conan brings every night. and i liked it. from the intro of running from nyc to ca, monologue, universal tour guide, etc. etc., it was great. will ferrell was obviously a fantastic guest. just watch the video. pearl jam. ehh. to be honest, i don’t remember them at all. i think i was …distracted when they were on.

and can we talk about his hair??? i don’t know what’s in the california air but there’s definitely more umpf in his hair.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

anyway i look forward to more episodes for sure.

**eff the works cited. i’ll admit to plagiarism.

so gillette’s come out with a series of “how to” videos. they show you the safe and proper way to shave well just about everywhere on your body. and considering gillette is one of the leaders in the shaving industry, i would take their word on shaving techniques. this is geared towards men, but i suppose women can heed the same advice.

and most importantly…

keep it clean ….. and safe fellas!

paranoid – kanye west. apparently this video’s being taken down everywhere. oh well. rihanna’s allll up in this video. more incentive to watch.

Kanye West Paranoid Official Music Video from bonna dona on Vimeo.

this is pretty cool. i’m sure it was rehearsed a bajillion times so it’s easy for these girls. but let’s just pretend it’s their first time and marvel at the greatest of playing on the big ass piano.

so as a little promo for the upcoming season premier of weeds (june 8th), they’ve released this video detailing the history of well .. weed aka marijuana aka sweet mary jane. check it out. i’m not sure how valid ALL the points are in the video, but i feel like i learned a couple of new things.

it’s been a while since i’ve listened to beastie boys but yesterday i was listening to their check your head album which is a great fun album to just listen to. so i was on youtube and what do i find ……….

beastie boys and roots. awesome.

mannn. it makes me really want to shell out the big bucks for the all points west festival in the summer time. seriously, check out the sick lineup

so i don’t listen to korean music. AT ALL. i know H.O.T. maybe two of their songs. i remember COOL. DJ DOC. but other than that, i’m lost. but i’ve heard of the wonder girls. it’s quality pop music i think. i don’t listen to it but i wouldn’t object to it if it was on the radio or something.

so i guess “nobody” is a very popular wonder girls song. i’m not sure. someone can confirm or refute that claim. anyway, after perusing the internet, i came across this music video. very powerful message. seriously.

ok. i found this video on a coworker’s blog. HOLY SHIZA it is awesome. ok. just watch it. and click the HD button so you see it in HIIIGHHH DEFINITTTIONNN.

check out bilal’s blog. really awesome if you’re into photography and nature.

does anyone else LOVE this heineken commercial like i do? you know, the “let a stranger drive you home” one where everyone’s singing biz markie’s “just a friend” in a cab. for one, it’s a great song. two, it’s a good psa of sorts. definitely a plus for heineken.

now i don’t know if this makes me want to drink heineken over .. any beer. but i’ll watch the commercial many times.

Another funny one that still makes me laugh.

Saw this couple of months ago but it’s sooooo incredibly true!

First heard about Dr. Horrible when we went to “this american life” live couple of weeks back.  You could actually watch Dr. Horrible’s blog on line on Hulu.  It was created by Mr. Joss Whedon, the man behind such cultish shows like: “Buffy the Vampire Slayer“, “Angel“, “Firefly“, and “Dollhouse.”  Really clever and cute and catchy….

i think mr. t sums it up right. you better treat your mother right!

happy mother’s day! or post mother’s day. has anyone seen this past saturday night live with justin timberlake? because i didn’t. but a great digital short from justin timberlake and adam samberg. this is for all the moms …

the lonely island. akiva schaffer, jorma taccone, and andy samberg. if you don’t recognize their names, you’d probably recognize their work on SNL: dick in a box, iran so far, etc. and other SNL digital shorts. well they’ve come out with an album called incredibad.

this is one of my more favorite videos they’ve come out with: like a boss. special cameo by seth rogen.

anyone watch letterman last night? i never watch letterman. never. but regardless, even i know about letterman’s top ten list. well because of the tough times, letterman brought on an expert to give you financial tips. who? donald trump, of course.

personally, i love 8, 4, and 1.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

someone forwarded me this video. great voice. great song. great music video. check out oren lavie – her morning elegance.

so have you noticed that t-mobile’s going viral? they’ve got one where a bunch of dancers take over a train station in liverpool and another one where a whole mass of people are singing “hey jude”. it’s pretty awesome.

my favorite’s the “hey jude” one. kind of gives me goosebumps. i wish i was there …..

t-mobile .. contact me! i’ll gladly be in a viral video for you!

you know the shamwow guy .. vince. so you know he’s on another commercial. the slap chop. it’s pretty much like any other chopping utensil. you know, the first time i saw him, i knew he would be a star. i just didn’t know he’d have a rapping career …

i love feist. i especially like her videos. my cousin sue reminded me of this one. so it’s kind of a mini shout out to her. it’s one evening by feist.

something about the awkward dancing is so awesome. it’s almost painful to watch at first. but you kind of warm up to and love it. at least i do. maybe because i’ve done this awkward dancing in front of my mirror before.

mayer hawthorne is amazing. i’m a gal who looooves motown and just the old school r&b jams. i’ve got a biggg soft spot for that genre. mayer hawthorne’s got this old school thing going on and it’s unbelievable. he just made a new video for “just ain’t gonna work out”. check it out.

and yes, he’s white. i know, you can’t believe it.

speaking of single ladies …

somewhere in that mass, you’d find susan, sung hee unnie, and moiiiiii*.

 *ok, not really.

so recently, i posted about that south park episode that pokes fun at kanye. and then kanye responded on his blog. well, he was recently on BET to feature his new video, amazing ft. young jeezy. and let’s just say you can’t change a genius.

the interview starts around minute 4 which is the main reason to watch the video.

it was only a matter of time before south park got into the pirate shenanigans. two options to watch the episode:

part 1 youtube:

part 2 youtube:

part 3 youtube:

or watch the whole thing here:

anyone else love the gorillaz like i do? they haven’t done much recently but i guess their documentary’s been keeping them busy. that’s right. documentary. it’s called BANANAZ. and it was released on the web on 4/20.

you should check it out. should be good, entertaining, and informative if you’re into the gorillaz.

http://www.babelgum.com/gorillazgobananaz

if you don’t know .. maybe it’s best you don’t.

but happy holidays! an entertaining video i found today…

are we humans. or are we daaaancerss?

i should’ve maybe posted this yesterday. but whatev, post tax day music video.

last night’s daily show episode. if you don’t know about the daily show with jon stewart. go to hulu and start watching.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

so apparently the south park episode poking fun at kanye had a pretty big impact on him. he blogged about it on his website. click for kanye’s blog entry.

and just for shits and giggles .. the music video they feature at the end of episode.

so man man is eggin’ awesome. they’re kind of unlike any band i’ve ever heard. my friend, matt, put me onto them maybe a year ago. and i’ve liked them ever since.

this is their new video, rabbit habits. my friend john forwarded me this video. pretty awesome. i recommend checking out the credits at the end.

so my friend told me a while ago about this site takeawayshows.com. it’s pretty much a single cut video of an artist performing live. it’s kind of really awesome to see an artist in his or her raw form. you know, minus the synthesizer, redos, and whatever else you do to a record to make yourself sound way better. don’t get me wrong, i love that shit but sometimes it’s really dope to just see them go at it without the “help”. and the video/performance itself is one cut (i think for the most part) that anything can happen.

so i’ve listened about half of all the artists they had on there. but one i particularly like is vandaveer. for one, his voice is nice. it’s kind of unique; i don’t think i’ve heard a voice like his before. i can’t really describe it other than if you held your nose and started talking. you know; sort of helium filled? i also love the first video when one of the guys is just playing with a broom stick or something. and bannnnjooo. come on now. and what can you say about the crowd participation? they just stumble upon a group of people who get into it. AWESOME. and the music itself is great. it’s really cutesy, fun, happy, other synonyms of those words. not to mention, easy ass singalong song.

Vandaveer – Woolgathering / Roman Candle – A Take Away Show from La Blogotheque on Vimeo.

so for all you non-laser printer owners (like me), you guys know the sound when your printer fails. i wouldn’t say it’s the most annoying sound in the world. but it’s definitely not pleasant. so i guess this guy took this awful sound, and made it somewhat interesting musically. it’s not something i could listen to all the time but it’s creative as hell. the video too.

the title alone should give you a HUGE hint as to what this post is about. the only reasons anyone should be confused is if 1. they don’t have a tv 2. you have severe memory problems (which then you’re like me) or 3. you don’t know how to read (that came out really harsh. but then again, you wouldn’t really know if you can’t read… which also makes me think why you’re here .. visuals?)

i. LOVE. this commercial. i can’t remember a jingle that i’ve sung more than this (and enjoyed. hence $5 footlong is out). come on. it’s kind of nostalgic. billy bass, anyone? if you don’t know, it’s ok. it was probably the most useless thing ever. if you’ve received it as a gift, i’m sorry.

so i’ve been singing this song non-stop. i’ve sung it so much one day that i got a fellow employee who never heard of the song, singing the song by the end of the day. except she only learned the first two lines because that’s the only line i actually remembered. i pretty made up my own rendition of the last two lines. something with hanging on the wall and being in a sandwich and not laughing.

well without further ado, the video (accompanied by lyrics so you don’t sound retarted like me.) and no need to thank me for all future ridicule and harassment coming your way.

Give me back that Filet O’ Fish
Give me that fish (ahhhhh)
Give me back that Filet O’ Fish
Give me that fish
What if it were YOU hanging up on this wall
If it were YOU in that sandwich you wouldn’t be laughing at aaaaaaaallllllllll
(whoooo)

so somewhere in history, someone coined thirsty thursday. most likely a college kid because let’s be for real, who’s had a friday class? and if you did? who actually went? (i had one in freshman year. yeah, grades weren’t so good for that class) the weekend pretty much started thursday after your last class. then you swear off alcohol for the rest of your life only to be drinking again several hours later. repeat until monday comes (when you realize you’re late for class).

nyu, here i come! thirsty thursday! let’s hope i don’t end up like this kid. ten bucks says this kid doesn’t remember a thing? anybody? anyone? no? ok.

so one of my favorite snl skits is the surprise birthday party one. it’s just so damn good. i don’t think it needs any further explaining.

and yes, you can catch me saying “oOooOoOOHhhhhh myyyyy goooooooossshhh”

http://www.hulu.com/watch/16388/saturday-night-live-surprise-party

Some commercials that I just LOVED.

“Knowing only is half the battle…. GOOOOOOOOO JOEEEEE!”

Live long and prosper…. “

No American car commercials this year but have no fear my lovely one, AUDI is here! The commercial was eh, but my two loves, AUDI and Jason Statham.

On a side note, I think my husband might’ve shed a tear for the “land of the lost” trailer….

Over the Xmas break, my husband made me watch all of the “fringe” episodes that were recorded on our DVR. I don’t deal well with scary/suspenseful things, because I actually do get scared. But this “x-file“-like show has become one of my favorite shows along with “the mentalist“. But since I have a clear love and hate relationship with all things JJ Abrams, I’m sure eventually this show wouldn’t be any different from all his other creations. But for now, “fringe” has totally captivated me with, brilliantly written storyline/plot, characters with “depth/dimension”, and the acting is pretty decent as well. Yes, even Pacey (Joshua Jackson) from “dawson’s creek“. “I don’t want to wait till our lives to be over….” I know you hear it too.
